Ecopetrol selected the 100 new beneficiaries of the “Bachilleres Ecopetrol Mario Galán Gómez” Scholarships, in its 2024 version, as part of its commitment to education as a determining factor for innovation, social transformation and closing socioeconomic gaps.
The group was made up of 45 women and 55 men, who were selected after completing all the validation processes in accordance with the internal regulations of the Program. The beneficiaries, who come from 75 municipalities, in 29 departments of Colombia, were informed through their personal emails.
In Casanare, nine young people were selected: four from the municipality of Yopal, three from Aguazul and two from Tauramena.
Ecopetrol will be responsible for paying one hundred percent of the value of the professional degree that each of the students want to pursue, at the university of their choice, as long as it is accredited by the Ministry of National Education.
In addition, Ecopetrol recognizes semi-annual transportation assistance to the beneficiaries, as well as accommodation and maintenance for those who study outside their municipalities of residence; It also provides academic and psychosocial support to contribute to the well-being of young people and the success of their academic processes.
In its 38 years of existence, the “Ecopetrol Mario Galán Gómez High School Program” has promoted and recognized the academic excellence of students from public schools located in rural and urban sectors, as well as in the company’s areas of operation.
