Taormina (Messina) – Last night with Emma the great live music returned to the ancient theater of Taormina. The singer from Salento has in fact reopened the concert season with her Fortuna Live 2021. The first appointment of a string of events after the long closure due to Covid. The joint decision of the two departments of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity and the Department for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment to adjust the cost of the concession fee to the reduction of capacities for the events of the summer season at the Ancient Theater “is an important signal for the ‘cultural enterprise – comments Nuccio La Ferlita manager of Puntoeacapo, organizer of events – for those who are struggling to restart the entertainment sector in Sicily, in this difficult historical moment ».

During Emma’s show (recovery of the date of 20 October 2020 and 20 May 2021 that should have been held in Catania) the singer accompanied the audience on a real musical journey (and not only), in which in chronological order presented in an unprecedented guise the songs that in these 10 years of career have become the soundtrack of his repertoire: from ballads such as “Amami” and “Mi parli piano”, to the more energetic “My city” and “I was looking for Love”, passing through exciting medleys, up to the most recent hits of the latest album of unreleased “Fortuna” including “Io sono bella”, “Latina” and the title track “Fortuna”.

Emma was accompanied on stage by the musicians Lucio Enrico Fasino (bass), Federica Ferracuti (keyboards and synt guitars), Dj Zak (deejay), Raffaele Rufio Littorio (guitars) and Jacopo Volpe (drums). A new musical journey for the artist (starting from the Verona Arena), with a new tour and a best-of to be released later this month. «It is an important moment that really marks a restart – said Emma – and for which I wanted with me all the workers we had planned for the ten-year tour. Nobody stayed at home and this restart is my personal May Day for all those who share the work with me ».

The background of the concert is a natural scenography offered by the erupting Etna which, from a distance, gave an extra touch to an awaited and applauded concert.
