Recently, the Taiwanese administrator of the well-known online account “Emperor Bar” was sentenced to prison for allegedly publishing multiple fake news and forged documents related to the new crown epidemic.

“Diba” is a well-known online community in mainland China. It has accounts on Facebook and Weibo, with many participants and 1.54 million followers on its Weibo account. The group is known for its expeditions against “anti-China and hostile forces abroad”, and it often launches mass cyber attacks, known as “the emperor goes out on an expedition, and nothing grows.”

In response to this case, some Taiwanese political parties believe that relevant units should thoroughly investigate the national security factors and political influence in the case.

Spreading false information about the epidemic

The indictment from the Hualien District Prosecutor’s Office in Taiwan alleges that 37-year-old Taiwanese Yin Yuancheng started to manage the Facebook group “Diba Central Group Army” and the fan page “Diba Base Area” five years ago, and his position is to support “One China”. He was banned for frequently violating Facebook community norms, so he asked someone to use drawing software to change other people’s health insurance cards and passports to false names and apply for multiple accounts.
