Spreading false information about the epidemic
The indictment from the Hualien District Prosecutor’s Office in Taiwan alleges that 37-year-old Taiwanese Yin Yuancheng started to manage the Facebook group “Diba Central Group Army” and the fan page “Diba Base Area” five years ago, and his position is to support “One China”. He was banned for frequently violating Facebook community norms, so he asked someone to use drawing software to change other people’s health insurance cards and passports to false names and apply for multiple accounts.
The indictment alleges that Yin Yuancheng used online accounts to spread false information about the new crown pneumonia epidemic one after another.
