Epidemic prevention is more attentive and service is more intimate (into the Service Trade Fair)
The 2021 China International Service Trade Fair will be held in Beijing from September 2 to 7. As of September 1, more than 1,700 domestic and foreign journalists from 245 media organizations have registered to participate in the conference. On September 1, the press center at the National Convention Center began operation. Our reporter visited and experienced the full range of services provided by the press center for media reporters.
Enter from Gate E5 of the National Convention Center, and the Chinese and English signs of the “News Center” are bright and eye-catching. Three dynamic rays of light imply that news media play an important role in “service sharing, information sharing, and cultural sharing”. They are intertwined with each other on the azure blue background, symbolizing the prosperity and mutual benefit of service trade.
According to Wang Haojie, the on-site commander of the news center, to ensure the safety of the work and dining environment of media reporters, the news center has adopted meticulous epidemic prevention measures from design to layout. Contact-free handwashing equipment is installed at each point and main passage of the news center; one person, one table in the media public working area, and epidemic prevention partitions between adjacent desks, with a distance of 1 meter; except for the press conference hall and media public work In addition to daily environmental disinfection in the district, microphones, audio headsets and other equipment are strictly disinfected before use.
The reporter came to the comprehensive service area, and the information desk was stocked with media manuals, disposable gloves, disinfectant wipes and other epidemic prevention items. A staff member of the press center said: “Considering the requirements of epidemic prevention, we ensured that the width of the information desk is about 1 meter in designing the information desk so that journalists can maintain a social distance from the staff.”
Yellow-brown steel-making furnace, white exhibition booth…On the side of the dining area, an oversized screen displays the unique features of the industrial relics of the Shougang Park venue and modern exhibitions. This is a 5G high-definition picture quality camera set up at a high point in the Shougang Park. The real-time picture sent back through the wireless transmission system can be changed at any time.
The news center achieves full coverage of the mobile terminal 5G network. The public signal master control system can simultaneously realize the scheduling and distribution of 64-channel audio-visual systems. The news center also provides live streaming equipment and services. The media can directly issue public signals to the Internet and conduct live video broadcasts on mobile clients.
At the entrance of the People’s Daily media workshop in the press center, the reporter met Han Nahong, a volunteer from Beijing Foreign Studies University. She is one of the more than 1,500 volunteers of the Service Trade Fair this year. More than 100 volunteers from two universities in Beijing were divided into more than a dozen groups to provide the news center with services such as consultation, security, transportation, logistics support, and operation support.
