COMEGLIANS. He escapes from the owner but is saved by the firefighters. The protagonist is a pony. On the morning of Monday 2 August, the Tolmezzo fire brigade detachment team intervened under the crests of Monte Crostis, in the municipality of Comeglians, to rescue a horse that had been stuck in a gully at an altitude of 2,200 meters.
The Saf (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) members of the team went upstream of the animal and with mountaineering techniques they descended for about 120 meters to reach it.
The fire brigade operators then harnessed the pony and with a system of hoists they took it downstream to a meadow where the animal was finally able to move freely.
Released from the harness, the firefighters handed over the horse, safe and sound, to its rightful owner
