Prior to the celebration of the Vallenata Legend Festival, version 57 in tribute to maestro Iván Villazón, the Valledupar Technological Services and Lighting Company (ESTIV SAS ESP), articulates efforts with the administration of Ernesto Orozco, in order to contribute to locals and visitors, a more illuminated municipality through modern and efficient public lighting.
Ricardo Henríquez Salas, manager of the entity, stated that, in order to contribute to an environment in accordance with the representative festivals of Vallenato folklore, they carry out modernization processes in missing neighborhoods, maintenance of the lighting system in roundabouts and parks, in addition to the expansion, which includes installation of LED luminaires, poles and new networks, in sectors where they did not previously exist.
From the above, he highlighted the interventions made on the Carrera 5 from 44 to Avenida Los Algarrobillos, the La Pilonera Mayor roundabouts, Piece of Accordion, La Provincia parkthe ‘La Sirena’ monument, located near the Guatapurí River, exit via Patillal and the Los Corazones district.
“Each of these actions will bring with it quality public lighting at the level of large cities. In this way we will promote a greater perception of security, strengthen tourism in the region and boost the local economy. This will be the result of a government committed to its people and the reflection that at an organizational level we are fulfilling them.“said the official.
Finally, Henríquez Salas pointed out that there are around 20 expansion projects underway in the rural and urban areas of Valledupar, 13 have been requested by the Mayor’s Office and 18 are new, for a total of 51.
He also referred to those that are under contract and are close to being attended to, such as Populandia Avenue, Los Algarrobillos avenue, Carrera 23 between Calle 1, diagonal 10 IE Ricardo González, diagonal 19 bis between 28 and 29, and those that already have their respective layout and design: avenue 4 from street 34 A to street 39, diagonal 12 between transversal 42 and 46, and entrance to La Paz from street 44 to km5.
