An investigation into “unintentional injuries” opened
The 20-year-old passenger, also injured but conscious, explained that a municipal police crew wanted to check this vehicle, which refused to comply, added a police source.
Still according to him, the municipal police crew was overtaking the two-wheeler and used a tear gas spray at their height, which caused the scooter to fall, which then hit a lamp post.
The vital prognosis of the victim, the 22-year-old driver, was still engaged at the end of this Tuesday afternoon.
Contacted by BFMTV, the town hall indicated that the municipal police officers were not pursuing the scooter at the time of the fall. She added that the investigation was ongoing and should clarify this.
The Bourges public prosecutor’s office has actually opened a flagrant investigation for “unintentional injuries”. The investigation should make it possible to clarify the circumstances of the facts, and to confirm or deny the passenger’s statements.
