The Union of Romagna Faentina, on behalf of the Municipality of Faenza, has announced a competition of ideas aimed at creation of artistic works to be allocated to four road roundabouts.
With the initiative, the administration wants to contribute, through the language of art, to the enhancement of the identity of the Faenza area. The four roundabouts are in fact positioned in strategic points of the city and each will have the task of representing the identity values of Faenza:
Roundabout 1 → FAENZA CITY OF CERAMICS
Roundabout 2 → MOTOR VALLEY OF THE FAENTINA AREA
Roundabout 3 → NIBALLO – FAENZA PALIO
Roundabout 4 → 100 KM OF THE PASSER
The competition will select and reward, for each of the 4 roundabouts identified, artistic and design ideas suitable for representing the indicated theme.
Who is it aimed at?
Artists aged 18 or over can participate.
Individual or group participation is permitted
How to participate
Proposals must be submitted exclusively online via Portal of services for citizens and businesses.
The documentation must be sent by 1pm on 30 April 2024.
Required documentation
Competitors must also submit, together with the application for participation, the following documentation for each chosen roundabout:
color graphic of the work in an adequate scale with indication of the dimensions of the work, contextualized in the specific roundabout with any significant details; rendering of the work with photo insertion; explanatory report | A4 max 2 pages; Curriculum Vitae Evaluation criteria consistent with the proposed topic | up to 25 points overall quality and artistic originality | up to 25 points technical-economic feasibility | up to 25 points environmental sustainability of the project, which must favor the maintenance of permeable soil inside the roundabout, durability of materials and ease of maintenance | up to 25 Rewards points
The following prizes will be awarded for each roundabout:
1st place: 2.000 euro
2nd place: 1.000 euro
