Since a police check of HSV fans at Bergedorf train station that lasted several hours, a conflict has been simmering between supporters of the second division soccer team and the police. Investigations have been initiated after a police uniform shirt was burned during the game against Osnabrück.

The renewed massive protests by Hamburger SV football fans against the police during the second division game against VfL Osnabrück (1:2) have consequences. The police have opened an investigation into the burning of a police uniform shirt. The police confirmed on Monday that it was suspected of “public incitement to commit crimes”. The responsible specialist department of the State Criminal Police Office is conducting the investigation.
