Filarmónica del Cesar honored Iván Villazón for his 40 years of artistic life

The traditional colonial patio of Gases del Caribe was the appropriate setting, chosen by the board of directors of the Cesar Philharmonic Foundation, to provide an emotional and well-deserved tribute to the singer Iván Villazón, with the symphonic concert “El Arcoiris”, reported the Círculo of Valledupar Journalists.

It took several months of rehearsals to achieve a selection of songs that bear the unmatched stamp of Villazón, the tenor voice of Vallenato, the great honoree in the 57th version of the Vallenato Festival.

The applause was strongly felt in this concert, which was under the baton of maestro Raimond Sanz, the group of choristers and young people that make up the Philharmonic, who delighted the attendees with the interpretation of seven renowned songs. El Caramelito, La Fuerza del Amor, Almas Felices, Lleno de Sentimiento, and Palito de Santa Cruz, were masterfully performed.

Two guest voices, the boy Keiner Corzo and the creator of Bandera Style, performed some songs, surprising the honoree, who closed this recognition by singing with the living force of his voice, the song authored by maestro Alfredo Barreneche “Lleno de Sentimiento” and the song with which this tribute was titled “El Arcoiris”, by maestro Rafael Escalona.

Rodolfo Quintero Romero, María Victoria Saade Mejía, Rocío Ospina Aristizabal, Diego Rivero Galvis, Mariana Orozco and the journalist Samny Sarabia, manager of the Foundation, take all the honors for continuing to contribute to Vallenato culture with the training of children and young people since 9 years ago, when they founded the Cesar Philharmonic.
