A 32-year-old woman was arrested by El Paso Police (EPPD) after a shooting incident in the parking lot of a bar in the early hours of Thursday, February 29.
The incident occurred at around 2:25 a.m. when officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Trophy Room bar located at 9627 Sims. While at the scene, officers heard a gunshot coming from the parking area. They discovered Emily H. inside a 2015 Honda Accord, exhibiting suspicious behavior and reaching into the passenger seat.
Fortunately, the police were able to prevent a potentially dangerous situation by locating a handgun under the passenger seat of the vehicle driven by Emily H. She was subsequently arrested for unlawful carrying of a weapon and discharging a firearm in certain municipalities. Emily H. was then taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
The EPPD is continuing to investigate the incident and gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, but the authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
