The individual finals of the Intercollegiate Games began in Bogotá, where the athletes from Risaralda are already beginning to stand out, this time with Karol Isabella Chamorro, winning two medals in swimming: one silver in the 1,500 junior free and one bronze in the 50 junior free .
“I am very happy with the results, the competition has been a little close and although the height is difficult, it has been achieved. Now I have to improve my marks, the pre-game tournament will follow soon, so I will try to qualify for the National Games”, said the athlete.
But the good news from Risaraldenses continued with Sofía Chamorro, Karol’s sister, who won a bronze medal in the 1,500 freestyle youth women’s category, while Miguel Ángel Quintero Vélez also won a bronze medal, this time in the pre-juvenile men.
