at least five criminals and alleged terrorists escaped on the night of this Friday, January 12, from the regional prison of Guayaquil, known as the Penitentiary, from where Adolfo M., alias “Fito,” also escaped a week ago.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. the security of the prison Guayaquil He warned that five inmates escaped by jumping over the wall of the watchtower at the back.
They were immediately alerted police officers and the recapture operation began. There are approximately 5,300 prisoners in that prison.
In videos circulating on social networks you can see the recapture of some of the detainees. One of them even asks to be allowed to breathe because he is supposedly hypertensive.
According to authorities, three of the terrorists were recaptured minutes later. One of them was shot by the police.
All the escapees are from pavilion eight of the terrorist organization “Los Lobos,” the government reported.
