A suffered point at the end of a match full of emotions. Atalanta win a good point away from their Champions League debut in Spain with Villarreal. 2-2 the final result at Madrigal, with the decisive goal scored by the German Robin Gosens ten minutes from the final whistle.
The match had started in the best way for Gasperini’s boys, who immediately took the lead in the sixth minute with Remo Freuler on the side of Zapata, but then they waste everything and suffer the comeback of the hosts with two goals for errors coming out of the defence. Atalanta is not there and at the 83rd they find the same with the usual Gosens. Things got even better for the Nerazzurri when Coquelin was sent off for a second yellow card a minute later. In numerical superiority the Goddess tries the forcing to bring home the victory but they do not find the goal, indeed it takes a great intervention by Musso who saves the result on a header by Gerard Moreno in full recovery.
