For the first time, Tesla is offering model Y for less than 40,000 euros in Belgium, but stock is limited

Tesla lowers the price of a model Y to below 40,000 euros. To be clear, this only concerns pre-configured models, stock cars so to speak. The price reduction makes buyers eligible for the 5,000 euro premium that the Flemish government promises.

The list price for a model Y remains at 47,970 euros in our country. In that case, you can choose the color and interior lining yourself.

But if you look on Tesla’s website under ‘fast delivery’, you will see that there are now Y’s for 39,990 euros, the last price ever for a Tesla in our country.

In 2024, electric cars that cost less than 40,000 euros can receive a premium of 5,000 euros from the Flemish government. This premium was created to promote electric driving. The list of eligible cars is getting longer, but Tesla has not yet been added, because the car brand did not have a model under the limit of 40,000 euros.

The Y of 39,990 euros is now eligible for that premium.

Yet it only concerns a limited number of cars, Tesla says. “These are models that are pre-configured and are immediately available.” So stock models. Cars that the customer takes as they are. Paint color, interior upholstery color… nothing can be chosen by the customer. These are cars that were made as display models.

Anyone who wants a cheap Tesla Y and also wants to take advantage of the Flemish premium to save up to 13,000 euros should keep an eye on Tesla’s website.
