The former presidential advisor during the FMLN administration, Héctor Silva Ávalos, has spread false information on his social networks, prior to the elections on Sunday, February 4, with the aim of influencing the votes of Salvadorans.
“Bukele’s pact with gangs included persecution of a former minister who knew how the negotiation was prepared,” Silva wrote online, sharing an article that he himself wrote for the media “Prensa Comunitaria.”
It should be noted that the data and history in the aforementioned article has been forged by former FMLN supporters. Likewise, Salvadorans have highlighted on social networks that their vote will be for President Nayib Bukele, who is expected to win with a landslide victory and in the first round tomorrow.
