French Foreign Minister Stephane Ségornet advised “the French to refrain from heading to Iran, Israel, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories,” according to what his circles reported to Agence France-Presse.
This decision, which was taken “during a crisis meeting,” came at a time when Iran threatened to strike Israel, which was blamed for an attack that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1.
The minister also requested “the return of the families of diplomatic personnel from Tehran,” as well as the ban on missions of French official personnel to these countries.
