Sourdough bread is very popular, not only in bakeries, but also on social media. For example, a video of Brad Webber’s type was viewed 48 million times in less than a week. But that video caused quite a stir on Tiktok.
The baker was just about to start baking and showed the basis of his sourdough bread: brew that bubbled when he shook it, due to the naturally occurring bacteria that make the dough rise without yeast and provide the typical sour taste. But not all sourdough bread fans wanted to see how the popular treat is made.
Many claimed it triggered their trypophobia, a supposed fear of objects with small holes that is apparently also very popular on Tiktok. Others said in the comments that the bubbly brew makes them nauseous or that it reminds them of certain horror and science fiction films. Fortunately, there were also many fans of baker Brad who were eager to taste a slice of his sourdough bread.
