In the package of restrictions in place to stem the race of the omicron variant and slow down the infections linked to the new coronavirus pandemic, new measures are about to come into force concerning the vaccination obligation, green pass, masks, entrances to the gym and swimming pool, in hotels and accommodation facilities and local public transport. Here is a calendar with the new deadlines for the entry into force of the new measures, approved with the decrees of December and January. The anti-Covid decree approved by the CDM on 5 January was published on 7 January in the Official Gazette with the number 1. The rule on the anti-Covid vaccination obligation for over-50s, contained in the decree, comes into force from January 8.

Vaccination obligation for over 50s
From 8 January the measure provided for by the decree law 5 January 2022 which provides for lvaccination obligation for all over 50. The obligation concerns Italians and foreigners residing in Italy. The vaccination obligation also applies to foreigners over 50 who are legally resident who have regular subordinate or self-employment activities or are registered in the employment lists and to foreigners who are legally residing or who have requested the renewal of their residence permit, for subordinate work, for self-employment, for family reasons, for political asylum, for humanitarian asylum, for asylum request, for pending adoption, for foster care, for acquisition of citizenship. Any exemption must be issued by the general practitioner or vaccinator. If you do not get vaccinated by 1 February, a penalty of one hundred euros is triggered.
Basic green pass extended to defenders, consultants and experts
The basic green pass in court is extended to defenders, consultants, experts and other auxiliaries of the magistrate outside the administration of justice (it does not apply to witnesses and parties to the trial). If you are over 50 you need a reinforced green pass.
