Tense evening, in the center of Turin, for the march against the G7 promoted by the Askatasuna social center and the student collectives, on the first day of the meeting of the Ministers of the Environment at the Reggia di Venaria.

After the latest tensions with the de-escalation charge in via Verdi, the anti-G7 protesters moved in front of Palazzo Nuovo, in Turin, and the situation returned to calm. The G7 is preparing to adopt a historic decision on stopping the use of coal. It is the demonstration of the concrete commitment of our countries in combating climate change and protecting the environment”.

To address the “challenges of energy security, climate change and environmental protection – added the minister – there are three priorities: concreteness, cooperation in particular with Africa, a pragmatic and non-ideological approach according to the principle of neutrality technological”.
