Giordano Signorile, the Italian dancer who was in Kiev rescued in Rome

After more than 48 hours of travel from Kiev, the 19-year-old dancer from Bari, Giordano Signorile, landed in Rome. Her mother confirms that she learned about it from the Facebook group ‘Italians blocked abroad’, where she can be seen her arrival in a video, but she specifies that she has not spoken to him yet.

Saved Wednesday morning by an Italian intelligence operation and the Farnesina, the boy was first taken to Moldova, from here to Romania and, this morning, landed in Rome on a scheduled flight.

Ukraine, the 19-year-old Italian dancer in Kiev saved by intelligence and the Farnesina: “I’m on my way to Odessa but not safe yet”

“I’m in Italy and I’ll be home soon and it still doesn’t seem true. I’m incredulous and I’m very happy and I thank the anti-harassment Observatory infinitely”: these are the first words of the 19-year-old dancer from Bari.

The 19-year-old had been living in Ukraine for five years where he had moved to pursue his dream of becoming a professional dancer. This is why he had enrolled, when he was just a teenager, at the Kiev Academy of Dance, where he had taken refuge from the day the Russian offensive began. Together with two other friends, a boy and a girl of Chinese origin, he hid in the Academy’s underground garage during the bombings, in the Voskresenka district, about 40 kilometers from the center.
