SALERNO – There are 29 points sampled by the volunteers of Goletta Verde, between 23 June and 7 July, along the coasts of Campania, 16 river mouths and 13 points at sea. Of these, 17 were heavily polluted or polluted. The criticalities mainly concern the mouths of rivers: in fact, 10 are heavily polluted. Only 12 sampled points fall within the parameters of the law. The heavily polluted points concern 10 river mouths the Fiumarella mouth in Mondragone (CE), the Regi Lagni mouth and the Lago Patria mouth in Castel Volturno (CE), the Licola canal in Pozzuoli (NA), the mouth of the Sarno between Torre Annunziata and Castellammare di Stabia (NA), the mouth of the Reginna Minor in Minori (SA), the mouth of the Piacentino river between Salerno and Pontecagnano Faiano (SA), the mouth of the Tusciano between Pontecagnano Faiano and Battipaglia (SA), the discharge channel in Marina di Eboli (SA) and the mouth of the Solofrone between Capaccio and Agropoli (SA).
The 2 points of the sea that are highly polluted are the beach to the left of the mouth of the Alveo Volla in S. Giovanni a Teduccio in Naples and the stretch of sea in front of the Lagno Vesuviano in Herculaneum. Among the polluted points are the mouth of the Savone in Mondragone (CE), the stretch of sea in front of the mouth of the Rivolo Neffola in Sorrento (NA), the mouth of the Asa stream in Pontecagnano Faiano (SA), the mouth of the Rio at via Posidonia in Capaccio (SA) and the beach in front of Rio Arena between Castellabate and Montecorice (SA).
