The municipality is armed with heavy machinery to eliminate potholes and improve mobility day and night.
The Infrastructure Secretariat, under the administration of Mayor Mauricio Salazar, launched the “Zero Holes” initiative in response to the evident number of potholes in the city of Pereira.
Given this, Mayor Mauricio Salazar expressed: «We receive the city full of holes, but we are determined to transform this reality. “We will work tirelessly, both day and night, because we promised solutions and we are delivering.”
For his part, Gustavo Cardona, the Secretary of Infrastructure, explained: «This activity marks the beginning of a monumental effort to recover Pereira’s road network. “By patching the gaps detected throughout the municipality, we are addressing one of the biggest concerns that affects mobility and puts pedestrians and drivers at risk.”

However, the “Zero Hollows” program is not limited only to urban infrastructure, but will also be in rural areas.
In that sense, Cardona explained that specialized machinery will be used in each environment to maximize the effectiveness of the efforts. “Our commitment to the passability and improvement of the road network is absolute,” he claimed.
