Government and dissidents of Iván Mordisco announce resumption of peace talks

In a statement signed by the High Commissioner for Peace, Danilo Rueda and Andrey Abendaño Guevara, as representative of the Central General Staff of the Farc, the restart of the dialogues with this guerrilla was confirmed.

The parties announced the establishment of a Peace Talks Table, in a joint effort to put an end to the armed confrontation and move towards a comprehensive, stable and lasting Peace Agreement.

During this preliminary phase, the government delegates and members of the dissidences led by Iván Mordisco will work with the permanent presence of officials from the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace and representatives of the international community, the Catholic Church and the World Council of churches.

In addition, they assure that the names of the delegations of both parties will be known very soon, which will be in charge of the Peace negotiation table.
