At present, Haining’s labor education classroom has benefited more than 89,000 primary and middle school students. The Yuanhua Town Tanqiao Central Primary School organized elementary school students to participate in the campus labor education of picking cotton and was praised by the People’s Daily.

The first is to formulate implementation opinions and clarify the new path of labor education. Researched and issued the “Implementation Opinions on Strengthening of Labor Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in Haining City”, and issued a labor list covering 67 labor content such as “organize bedrooms, learn to cook, experience farming, and hand-made”. , 4 years of high school promotion, clarify the focus and implementation direction of labor education. Establish a labor education teaching and research staff guidance system to guide schools to establish school-level labor lists and formulate labor education plans in accordance with local conditions. At present, there are 14 full-time and part-time labor education teachers and researchers, guiding 60 primary and secondary schools in the city to establish school-level labor lists, innovatively adding more than 30 special labor lists such as planting and breeding practices, simple maintenance, etc., effectively improving students’ life skills.

The second is to offer special courses to enrich the new connotation of labor education. Relying on the classroom education position, adopting the form of combining theoretical teaching and hands-on practice, offering labor-specific courses and practical activities such as gardening, intangible cultural heritage, and hand-making, and creatively infiltrating labor education into daily teaching. Based on the school’s labor-related characteristic clubs, labor education is integrated into the special club activities to stimulate students’ enthusiasm for labor. At present, Haining City, including the “Red Volunteers” of the Wang Guowei Primary School Education Group, the “Urban Farmers” Association of Xiashi Middle School, and the “Xiaosangmiao Learning and Farming Society” of Zhouwangmiao Elementary School, have participated in more than 30 labor-related organizations. Education, among which the “Red Volunteers” of Wang Guowei Primary School Education Group was rated as Zhejiang Children’s Innocent Party Innovation Project.

The third is to open up practice bases and broaden new carriers of labor education. Expand the labor practice places in the school, dig deep into the existing resources such as idle land and roof plantations in the school, and build a student labor practice experience platform. At present, more than 30 schools including Tanqiao Primary School and Experimental Primary School in Haining have opened up planting areas for flowers, plants, trees or crops, with a total planting area of ​​more than 15 acres. Cooperate with off-campus agricultural characteristic planting bases, establish off-campus practice bases for young people, and organize primary and middle school students to carry out labor research activities. 17 bases including Haining Youth Agricultural Practice Base and Chengbei Village Fruit and Vegetable Planting Base have been identified as off-campus practice bases for teenagers. Since the beginning of this year, elementary and middle school students have entered the practical research base and have carried out more than 70 labor research activities such as corn planting experience, cotton picking, and silkworm feeding.
