The purpose of the FATF is to establish standards that promote the effective application of legal, regulatory and operational measures to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and other threats related to the integrity of the international financial system.

Non-profit organizations (NPOs) must apply policies and procedures based on risk management for the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. The outreach to religious entities, recognized public utility associations, associations with restricted capacity, in addition to foundations.

“The topics discussed were identifying the Foundation’s sources of income, knowing the companies and the final beneficiaries, nothing more than a prevention method to mitigate the risks so that no act of money laundering and terrorist financing is incurred. from a company that operates with Tesãi,” explained the compliance officer.

Approaches based on risks, risk factors, donors, benefactors, contributors, natural or legal persons, national or foreign, purpose of the donation, behavior during the operation, destination of the funds, channels for collecting donations or contributions, identification and knowledge of the donor, registration and monitoring of income and expenses, control of lists and immobilization of funds, implementation of forms.

Socialization

The talks will continue throughout the month of March, socializing these recommendations at intermediate levels, collaborators and administrative officials from all sectors and departments of the Tesãi Foundation.
