Chinese Education Ministers Meet with Education Departments of Montenegro, Mongolia, and Kyrgyzstan

During the 2024 World Digital Education Conference, Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng and Vice Minister of Education Chen Jie from China met with the education departments of Montenegro, Mongolia, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as foreign guests from UNESCO.

The meetings took place on January 30 to 31, where Minister Huai Jinpeng engaged in discussions with Montenegro’s Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation Stoyanovic, Mongolia’s Minister of Education and Science Enkh Amulgolan, and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science Kentilbayeva. The meetings focused on further deepening cooperation in the areas of higher education, vocational education, language and culture, digital education, and youth exchanges.

Minister Huai Jinpeng expressed China’s willingness to work with the aforementioned countries to strengthen cooperation and benefit both parties. Following the meetings, new agreements on education cooperation and mutual recognition of academic degrees and degrees were signed between China and Mongolia, and China and Kyrgyzstan.

Additionally, Vice Minister Chen Jie met with Miculescu, President of the 42nd General Conference of UNESCO, to discuss further deepening cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Chen Jie expressed China’s commitment to supporting UNESCO and working closely with the organization.

The foreign guests expressed their gratitude for China’s warm reception and looked forward to further strengthening high-quality educational cooperation and deepening exchanges and mutual learning with China in the future. The fruitful results of the conference were appreciated, and all parties expressed optimism about future collaboration.
