On May 22, the 2022 Changsha Science and Technology Week was launched. With the theme of “Walking into Science and Technology, You and Me”, all districts (counties, cities) and national-level science and technology parks in Changsha will simultaneously carry out 90 popular science activities.

During the activity week, a number of popular science venues, such as the Planetarium of Hunan Normal University, the Science and Technology and Culture Integration Exhibition Hall of Malanshan Chuangzhi Park, and the Popular Science Education Base for Clean Incineration of Domestic Waste, are open to the public for free; The innovation achievement exhibition of the first generation of independent and secure computing industry clusters, and the Changsha College-Changsha High-tech Zone 2022 scientific and technological achievements transformation and docking activities, etc., will be held one after another.

A theme exhibition area will be set up at the event site to display and publicize national laws and regulations such as the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Science and Technology Progress” and the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Popularization of Science and Technology“. Changsha City has unveiled major scientific and technological achievements such as the project as the leader, as well as Beidou products, scientific research integrity, and safe production.

At the launching ceremony, the signing ceremony of Changsha Beidou Industrial Integration Ecosystem was also held. Chai Liyuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, presented medals and certificates to 10 outstanding young scientific and technological innovation talents in Changsha from 2020 to 2021. Provincial and municipal leaders awarded licenses to 15 professional popular science venues (bases), including the Hunan Normal University Planetarium, the Youth Quality Education Science Base, and the Liuyang City Art and Technology Museum.
