by admin

BELLUNO. One hundred million in 2022 and two hundred million a year starting from 2023. The government’s commitment to the new framework law on the mountains is becoming increasingly concrete, which in the last few hours has seen the confirmation of the resources ventilated in recent days. To announce it is Federico D’Incà, Minister for Relations with Parliament, following the decisions taken on the funds destined for the mountains.

“In the next budget maneuver, attention will be given to the mountains through a fund that provides for an endowment of 100 million euros for the year 2022 and 200 million euros from the year 2023. An important result for the development of mountain areas and for their protection: the fund will also be used to support the totally and partially mountain municipalities of the Regions and autonomous Provinces. This Fund ”, continues D’Incà,“ serves, in particular, to finance interventions for the protection and promotion of environmental resources, also through initiatives for the protection and enhancement of environmental qualities and the potential of the mountain habitat; socio-economic interventions for the populations living in the territories involved; information and communication activities on mountain issues but also interventions for the development of agro-forestry-pastoral activities as well as initiatives to reduce the serious phenomenon of depopulation. It is an important response to support these territories on which there is a lot of attention so that development conditions can be created both to improve the services of the citizen and to increase tourist attractiveness ».

The resources of the National Mountain Fund and the Supplementary Fund for Mountain Municipalities will flow into the new Fund for the development of the Italian mountains, amounting to a total of 15 million euros per year.

D’Incà, as announced in recent weeks, also communicates the additional appropriations for the Milan-Cortina Olympics: “Additional funds are foreseen for the 2026 Winter Games that are added to the resources already allocated: this is a further 324 million euros , divided into 81 million a year until 2025, which confirm the attention towards sport and the great event for the territory. The Milan-Cortina Olympics will be an opportunity for visibility and new growth for the Belluno area. Now it will be necessary to accelerate on this path and, on the part of the 5 Star Movement, there will be maximum attention on sustainable interventions. I am particularly satisfied with this additional allocation, which I have been interested in to give greater support to the event: these funds represent a new and powerful impetus for the planned structural works that will allow us to better prepare the appointment, leaving an important legacy to the territories. also for the future ».i.a.
