In Villanova Mondovì a day of sport with the students’ questions to the volleyball champions

We will talk about passion, desire to be together, sport. Tomorrow the children of the inclusive Institute of Villanova Mondovì will experience a day dedicated to sport thanks to the collaboration between the municipal administration, Villanova Volley, the staff of the Ravano tournament and the “Piero Dardanello” association. From 8, the Palasport “Vincenzo Tomatis” will host the volleyball competitions of the first phase of the “Alberto Ravano – Paolo Mantovani Cup” tournament, the largest school competition in Europe.

The event involves the pupils of the third, fourth and fifth elementary schools of Liguria and Piedmont. The boys have the opportunity to try their hand at several disciplines: this year the event includes football, basketball, volleyball, rugby, cycling, athletics, fencing, sailing, water polo, rowing, tennis and hockey matches.

It all started with an idea by Paolo Mantovani, the historic former president of Sampdoria, to honor the memory of his predecessor, Alberto Ravano. The appointment that has become indispensable for the students of Villanova will be accompanied by a moment dedicated to everything that revolves around the world of sport. Pupils will be able to deepen their curiosities about sports communication thanks to the “Dardanello Incontra”, promoted by the cultural association “Piero Dardanello” in memory of the great Monregalese chronicler and his journalism lesson. Among the guests: Ludovica Mantovani, president of the Women’s Football Division of the Federcalcio and daughter of Paolo Mantovani, and volleyball players Noemi Signorile and Maria Luisa Cumino, respectively captains of Cuneo Granda Volley of A1 and Lpm Bam Mondovì of A2. Moderated by Massimo Mathis, head of the Cuneo editorial office de The print, the players and the manager will answer the questions of the second grade students of the 1st grade secondary school. The class, which participates in the initiative “A school of journalism with Piero Dardanello”, prepared the questions for the guests.
