The incorporation of the new officials from the indigenous communities was classified as historic.

Within the framework of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement between ANDE and the Tesãi Foundation, under the premise of equal opportunities for all, young people from indigenous peoples incorporated as new ANDE officials completed their admission medical examinations at the Area 2 Hospital.

The delegation was received by Dr. Arístides Cañete, Technical Manager of Tesãi, who highlighted the social inclusion policies of the National Government through ANDE, as the Tesai Foundation, social axis of Itaipú Binacional, has been executing strategic alliances with state entities in order to strengthen mechanisms of assistance and support.

Clinical evaluation and studies

The Tesãi Foundation opened its doors for medical examinations, laboratory analysis and rigorous clinical evaluation within the framework of the aforementioned agreement, in order to comply with the admission procedures in coordination with those responsible for ANDE.

Social inclusion

Likewise, Dr. Cañete highlighted the management of Mr. Félix Sosa, president of ANDE, since with this call for competition a current national law is strictly complied with that makes effective the right of every Paraguayan, regardless of ethnicity, creed, religion, color, flags or political ideologies to access a job within a framework of equality and respect for their cultural guidelines.

In this sense, the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) and the TESÍI Foundation have signed a Framework Agreement for Interinstitutional Cooperation since April of last year and the first Specific Agreement for mutual cooperation, union of resources, technological exchange, advice and implementation of joint services and projects in the health area.

Technical and professional profile

The new officials of various indigenous groups have completed high school with ongoing careers in the area of ​​agronomic engineering. They were submitted to a competition of merits and aptitudes through the Secretariat of Public Function (SFP).

“They were incorporated in compliance with the Law that requires that a certain number of indigenous people be incorporated into public institutions. ANDE is a pioneer, it made a call and they competed, of the number of 50 that entered, 30 were referred to Chaco and 8 to the Yguazú Reserve, where they will fulfill the function of park rangers,” explained Lic. Guillermina Fleitas, head of the Disc. of Occupational Medicine of the ANDE.

Indigenous communities

The eight new officials are aged between 22 and 36 years old and belong to indigenous communities of Itakyry, Arroyo Guazú, Acaraymi, Aba, Ka ̈aguy Porã Poty, Northern zone of Alto Paraná, as well as other districts such as Mariscal López, department of Caaguazú.

In total there are 7 men and 1 woman who, after the induction talk, will provide services as new hires, reinforcing the operational staff of the Yguazú Natural Reserve, which has 1,750 hectares.

The list of new officials is conformed as follows: Norberto Ortiz (Arroyo Guazú), Diosnel Martinez (Arroyo Guazú), Ever Varga (Acaraymi), Matías Insfran (Mcal. López), Cristóbal Galeano (Avá community), Liz Núñez ( Acaraymi), Arnaldo Ramos (Guazú Stream) and Michael Ayala (Good Forest community).
