Iss monitoring, the RT is still declining: it is at 0.73. More than half of Italy from the white zone

ROMA – The RT falls, which from 0.77 last week reaches 0.73 and the weekly incidence of cases per 100 thousand inhabitants also falls. Last Friday it was at 672, today it is at 552. The incidence curve therefore continues to decline, respecting a trend that began a few weeks ago.

The data are from the control room of the Ministry of Health and the Higher Institute of Health, which still has a month of work ahead, given that the color system of the Regions, said the Prime Minister Mario Draghi, from April 1st it will no longer be used. The most important indicator to determine the scenario in which to insert the various local realities is that of the occupation of the beds. Well, yesterday, according to that data (which takes into account the ordinary wards and intensive care), there were 11 Regions and 2 Provinces from the white zone.

It will be seen what the Ministry of Health intends to do but the rule requires that the data be compatible with a color with fewer restrictions for at least 14 days before the actual passage in that scenario. It means that few will go in white from Monday, certainly the Province of Bolzano will. In any case, there are practically no differences between the yellow zone and the white zone, so the days of controversy and discussions on the classification of the Regions are over.

The employment rate in intensive care is 8.4% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of February 24) compared to 10.4% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of February 17). The employment rate in medical areas nationwide is 18.5% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of 24 February) compared to 22.2% as of 17 February.
