It has been the fourth day since the crash of China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 from Guangxi. At present, some aircraft wreckage, human tissue fragments, black boxes and large objects suspected to be aircraft engines have been found at the crash site. In addition, after the accident, Vice Premier Liu He of the Communist Party of China went to the scene overnight, and the Chinese military and armed police were quickly dispatched to the scene. Liu He, the vice premier of the Communist Party of China, has never been seen in a disaster situation before. Some analysts believe that this kind of action is quite rare, and it may be related to the mutual prevention and vigilance of Zhongnanhai high-level officials.

On the afternoon of March 24, at the fourth press conference of the China Eastern Airlines accident officially held by the Communist Party of China, Zheng Xi, the captain of the Guangxi Fire and Rescue Corps, reported the progress of the search and rescue work that day. According to reports, search and rescue personnel found a piece of suspected aircraft wreckage in a farmland in Yatang Group, Siwang Village, Tengzhou Town, Tengzhou Town, Wuzhou City, about 1.3 meters in length and 10 cm in width. As of 15:30, a total of 21 remains of the victims, 183 aircraft wreckage and some of the remains of the victims had been recovered, which have been handed over to the investigation team.

It was notified at the meeting that the main impact point of the accident has been basically determined, and most of the wreckage of the aircraft is concentrated in the core area with a radius of about 30 meters around the main impact point, and the depth extends down from the surface to about 20 meters. The main debris that has been found includes: engine blade and turbine debris, engine pylon debris, left and right horizontal stabilizer debris, aileron autopilot actuators, and wing debris with some winglets. Crew escape ropes and fragments of crew manuals and some crew documents were found in the cockpit.

Before that, on March 23, one of the two black boxes on the plane had been recovered. Due to serious damage, it was initially judged to be a cockpit voice recorder, which was sent to Beijing overnight for decoding by a professional civil aviation agency.

It takes time for the recorder to download and decode data, and may take more time if the content is corrupted. After the black box is decoded, it will become important evidence for analyzing the cause of the accident. At present, the authorities are also continuing to search for the whereabouts of another black box to reconstruct the entire incident.

According to reports, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft is equipped with two black boxes, one for the flight data recorder (FDR) and the other for the cockpit voice recorder (CVR). The flight recorder is usually installed at the rear of the cabin and can record for 25 hours. The flight recorder will record parameters such as altitude, speed, heading, roll angle, pitch angle, vertical speed, and the crew’s manipulation; the cockpit language recorder is installed at the rear of the cargo hold and can record for 2 to 3 hours.

Mainland media quoted Guo Qing, an associate professor at the School of Aeronautics at Northwestern Polytechnical University, pointing out that the main function of the black box is to provide multiple data records of the aircraft, and the positioning function is not strong. However, as time goes by, the signal strength of the black box will become weaker and weaker along with the power consumption. The longer the time drags on, the more difficult the search will be.

Liu He rarely went to the crash site and caught fire in the backyard of Zhongnanhai?

At about 14:38 on March 21, China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 lost contact and crashed over Wuzhou City, Guangxi Province on its way from Kunming City, Yunnan Province to Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. There are 123 passengers and 9 crew members on board. No one survived.

According to state media reports, Vice Premier Liu He and State Councilor Wang Yong rushed to the scene of the crash in Wuzhou, Guangxi on the night of the 21st. In terms of their positions, in addition to the title of State Councilor, Wang Yong also serves as the director of the National Disaster Reduction Committee of the Communist Party of China and the deputy director of the Safety Production Committee of the State Council of the Communist Party of China; Liu He is the director of the Safety Production Committee of the State Council. Before that, he had never been here. disasters have occurred.

In China, it is usually the Emergency Management Department of the Communist Party of China that undertakes the work of the national headquarters for responding to particularly major disasters. The State Council of the Communist Party of China dispatched an investigation team composed of the Department of Emergency Management and the Civil Aviation Administration to Wuzhou overnight on the evening of the 21st, but the name of the Minister of Emergency Management, Huang Ming, did not appear in the official media report on the air accident.

Chinese troops were also dispatched to the scene of the accident. According to Xinhua News Agency, on the day of the incident, the Southern Theater Command activated the emergency response mechanism, including the Wuzhou Military Division and the Wuzhou Detachment of the Armed Police. , the armed police stationed around the incident site is also ready to support.

Chen Pokong, a political commentator who now lives in the United States, said in his YouTube self-media program on March 23 that the crash was a civil aircraft, not a military aircraft. It is unusual for the CCP to dispatch troops in the southern theater.

He believes that the purpose of the army and armed police being sent is nothing more than to blockade the local area, strictly seal the news, or conduct military appraisals. For example, search and rescue or investigation of plane crashes are usually undertaken by professional departments.

After the air crash, Li Keqiang, who was in charge of the State Council’s investigation team, and Xi Jinping, who was in charge of the military and the armed police, gave different instructions: Xi Jinping demanded that “the emergency mechanism should be activated immediately, all-out search and rescue, and attention to the aftermath.” , find out the cause of the accident, and do a good job in comforting the families of the victims.”

Chen Pokong believes that Liu He is the representative of Xi Jinping. Although he has the title of Director of the Safety Production Committee of the State Council, it is too reluctant to be used at the scene of an air crash. And Wang Yong is Li Keqiang’s close confidant, and Xi Jinping is obviously not at ease when he is sent. Therefore, both Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang sent their own people to the scene to monitor and understand the actual situation.

He believes that the southern theater of operations is more unusual, with four brigades on alert, and this is not a war. “It’s confusing here.”
