“53 projects ready for potential Emirati investments in Italy”
The Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Ursus met, together with the deputy minister Valentino Valentinithe Minister of Economy of United Arab Emirates Abdulla bin Touk Al Marrion the sidelines of Investopia Europe underway in Piazza Affari in Milan.
During the bilateral meeting, Minister Urso described to Al Marri the Italian strategy for attracting investments to our country. In particular, Urso illustrated the mapping carried out by Mimit for investment opportunities by the United Arab Emirates in Italy which includes 53 projectslocated in the Italian regions, in strategic sectors such as aerospace, logistics, real estate, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, fashion and food.
The ministers also explored the issues of connectivity between the southern Mediterranean and Europe, which sees the two countries as protagonists both on the commercial side and with regard to connections through submarine cables, in particular for the transport of renewable energy from North Africa to Italy.
Urso and Al Marri also shared the importance of one cooperation increasingly solid in the development of artificial intelligence and other enabling technologies for businesses, as well as projects in the circular economy and aerospace sectors, in which the two countries boast high expertise.
The two ministers finally examined the possibility of joint projects in Africa to be developed together as outlined by the Mattei Plan.
