Before the great public of the Parque de la Leyenda, Jerónimo Andrés Villazón Murillo was chosen as the new king of the Amateur Accordion Player category of the Vallenato 2024 Festival. Villazón beat Carlos Javier Luquez (third place) and Gregorio Gutierrez (second place).
This is the third crown of the young accordion player, who was also Children’s king and Youth kingand now he is crowned Amateur King of the 57th version of the Vallenata Legend Festival, in honor of Iván Villazón.

In his presentation he performed the ride ‘Volvió El Gallo’ by Pacho Rada; the merengue ‘El Siniestro de Ovejas’ by Carlos Araque; the son ‘El Guayabo’ by Calixto Ochoa; and the puya ‘Lo Dicho Juancho’, by Juancho Polo Valencia. The qualifying jurors for this contest were Diana Peñaranda, the educator Álvaro Resorte Palomino, Antonio Daza Orozco, the vallenato king Manuel Vega and the doctor Alfonso Pérez Parodi.
