Justice: from the double Senate yes to confidence in the reform of the criminal process, cohesive majority

by admin

No surprise in the Senate after the double vote of confidence requested by the government on the reform text of the criminal trial. Scrolling through the names of the senators to vote, the government axis held up, unlike what happened in the House on the green pass, both yesterday and today, with the leagues defections, which were, this morning in Montecitorio, equal to more than one third of those elected (51 out of 132). As for the first vote of confidence, 208 were in favor of the Senate, while those against (28) were counted between the FDI and the mixed group. In the leagues ranks 52 senators out of 64 were present for the vote, 11 of whom were absent with excuse, as they were on an authorized mission. On the Five Star side only 1 unjustified absentee, compared to 57 present, out of 74 elected. Similar numbers also for the second vote of confidence, with someone who had already left the Chamber after the first vote.
