The general director of the Penitentiary and Prison Services Unit (USPEC), Ludwing Joel Valero Sáenz, inaugurated the new Deputy Administrative Director of the entity, Karol Vanessa Ortigoza Vargas.
Karol Ortigoza, with more than eight years of experience in the public sector, assumes this new position with the commitment to contribute to the administrative strengthening of the USPEC.
The new Deputy Director is a Business Administrator from the Universidad Surcolombianahas a specialization in Government, Management and Public Affairs from the Externado University of Colombia, and candidate for a Master’s Degree in Government and Public Policy also from the Externado.

The resume of the new Deputy Administrative Director was previously published by the Presidency, as a protocol requirement before taking office. This process is part of the principles of transparency and access to information that govern the appointment of officials in the government sphere.
It should be noted that Karol Vanessa Ortigoza Vargas has a political careerhaving held the position of Huila deputy for the Liberal party during the period 2020-2023.
