Low temperature and cold weather will remain in the disaster-stricken area of Zhenxiong County, Yunnan Province, over the next three days, according to the China Weather Network. This weather is expected to be accompanied by sleet or light snow, with daily maximum temperatures ranging from -2 to 1°C.

In the past 24 hours, Zhenxiong County experienced light snow and sleet with less than 0.1 mm of precipitation. The highest temperature recorded was -2.0°C, and the lowest temperature was -3.7°C. Tangfang Town, where the disaster occurred, also experienced overcast conditions with similar temperature ranges.

Health and highway meteorological risk forecasts for the disaster areas in the next three days advise residents to wear warm clothing such as winter coats, down jackets, cotton pants, gloves, and hats to prevent cold-related illnesses. Additionally, there is a risk of snow accumulation and road icing on high-altitude sections of certain highways, which may impact traffic safety.

The China Weather Network also issued a reminder for disaster relief and evacuation personnel to take measures to stay warm and prevent carbon monoxide poisoning or fire when using open flames. They also urged caution while traveling, given the potential for slippery roads and low visibility due to snow and freezing weather.

The public is advised to monitor the weather and follow the “China Weather Network” WeChat official account, “China Weather” Weibo, and “China Weather” Douyin for updates and information. Original content is sourced from the China Weather Network and may not be reproduced without authorization.
