Kinshasa: launch of training for dozens of women restaurant owners

The non-profit association Actions for Sustainable Development (APLDD) launched training on Saturday January 13 for women owners of makeshift restaurants commonly known as “mama Malewa”.

She carried out this launch in the commune of Barumbu, in Kinshasa.

With the support of Brussels capital and the municipality of Barumbu, these training courses are part of the “Socio-economic recovery of Malewa women and girls in Kinshasa” project.

The project extends over a period of two years and training will be provided by module with a view to supporting female entrepreneurship.

Training is planned in various areas including food hygiene and nutritional values, culinary arts and against gender-based violence (GBV).

The beneficiaries of this training will also learn how to develop a business plan and access financing in order to create a business
