Lecce kills his 38-year-old wife with a knife and runs away: found dead

LECCE – A fatal stab in the middle of the night. Donatella Miccoli38 years old, was killed by her husband, Matteo Verdesca, in their home in Novoli, a small town of eight thousand inhabitants about ten kilometers from Lecce. The man, who fled aboard a white Renault Clio after the crime, was searched throughout Salento by the carabinieri, who on the morning of Sunday 19 June found him charred dead inside the same car on the outskirts of the town.
