The new educational project entitled #Let’s Make the Difference kicks off on Monday 19 February from the «San Giuseppe» secondary school in Lugo, which will involve over 40 classes from the local primary and secondary schools.

The project, promoted by Hera and the Union of Municipalities of Bassa Romagna with its Sustainability Education Center Ceas Bassa Romagna, aims to actively involve students, teachers and families in the creation of a socially and economically sustainable development model by promoting participation collective towards virtuous behaviors.

The objective is to discourage the abandonment of waste and increase the quantity and quality of separate waste collection, promote more awareness in behavior and purchases, increase sociability and knowledge of the services present in the territory of the Union of Municipalities of Lower Romagna.

The activities planned as part of the initiative are designed as a game and a challenge between the registered classes, a methodology that stimulates active participation and commitment. After an introductory meeting in class, the children will be the protagonists of a challenge to identify which will be the most “recyclable” class. For those who wish, there is also an in-depth educational study dedicated to the teachers and ATA staff of the school.

The activities are coordinated and conducted by the Atlantide cooperative, which has been dealing with environmental issues for years in collaboration with various local bodies, and by the Ceas of Lower Romagna.
