In Manduria a 75-year-old man killed his partner Giuseppa Loredana Dinoi, 71, hit her in the throat with a utility knife, then attempted suicide and wounded herself in the arms and neck.
The attack, according to the first reconstructions, took place after a quarrel. The man, Pietro Dimitri, with a history of robbery, extortion and associative crimes, in the past under special surveillance, he was transported to the Giannuzzi hospital, where he is guarded in custody on charges of voluntary homicide. The weapon was recovered and seized by the carabinieri.
Dinoi was hit by numerous blows with a large knife to the face, neck, chest and upper and lower limbs.
