Mexican authorities believe that the 3 bodies found in Baja California are those of surfers who crossed from the US.

The bodies of the two Australian surfers and an American who went missing last weekend in Baja California, Mexico, have been found on a cliff in Santo Tomás, according to the state prosecutor’s office. While not yet confirmed through forensic examination, the physical characteristics of the bodies, including hair, suggest a high probability that they belong to the missing tourists.

The missing surfers, identified as Australian brothers Callum and Jake Robinson, and American Jack Carter Road, had disappeared on April 27 during a trip from the United States. A fourth body was also discovered at the scene, but authorities confirmed that it was not related to the three foreigners.

According to the prosecutor’s office, there is a high possibility that the bodies belong to the missing surfers based on their clothing and belongings found at the scene. However, confirmation of their identities will be determined through genetic tests conducted by the Forensic Medical Service.

The discovery of the bodies with signs of violence has raised concerns in the region, known for its high levels of drug-related violence. Mexican authorities have been working closely with Australian authorities and the FBI to investigate the circumstances of the disappearance and subsequent deaths of the three tourists.

The news of the tragic discovery comes as a shock to family and friends of the missing surfers, who had booked accommodation in Rosarito but never arrived. The investigation into the case is ongoing, with authorities striving to uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearance and deaths of the surfers in Baja California.
