The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said yesterday (November 26) that as of the end of October, 53,400 new urban and old communities have been renovated across the country, and the annual target and tasks have been completed ahead of schedule.
Based on statistics and reports from various regions, from January to October this year, 53,400 new urban and old communities were renovated nationwide, which exceeded the target of 53,000 new urban and old communities proposed in this year’s “Government Work Report”. Among them, 26 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities including Shanghai, Anhui, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, and Beijing have all started construction this year.

Liu Lifeng said that since the national “Guiding Opinions on Comprehensively Promoting the Reconstruction of Old Communities in Urban Areas” was issued last year, all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country have now issued relevant supporting policies, including how to raise funds through multiple channels, how to increase funding subsidies, and implement A series of policies such as tax reduction and exemption have begun to take effect, which has played an important role in accelerating the speed of the transformation of old communities this year.
