Free Passage for Small Passenger Vehicles on Toll Highways during the May Day Holiday

The Ministry of Transport announced today that small passenger vehicles with seven seats or less will be granted free passage on toll highways during the upcoming May Day holiday. This decision is in accordance with the “Notice on the Approval of the Implementation Plan for Waiver of Tolls for Small Passenger Vehicles on Major Holidays by the Ministry of Transport and Other Departments” issued by the State Council.

Starting from 0:00 on May 1st and ending at 24:00 on May 5th, small passenger vehicles will be exempt from toll charges on designated toll roads. This policy aims to alleviate the financial burden on travelers during the holiday period and promote safe and convenient travel.

The Ministry of Transport emphasized that the toll-free policy applies only to small passenger vehicles with seven seats or less, including seven seats. Other vehicles will be subject to regular toll charges during this period.

Travelers planning road trips during the May Day holiday are encouraged to take advantage of this toll-free policy for small passenger vehicles. This initiative is expected to provide relief to families and individuals looking to explore different destinations without the added cost of toll fees.
