Headline: President Xi Jinping Inspects Xiongan New Area: A Vision for the Future
On April 1, Xiongan New District in Hebei Province will mark its seventh year since establishment. A vision of the future, every step taken in the new district has been guided by the General Secretary, from planning to construction.
The district is currently undergoing large-scale construction and the relocation of non-capital functions from Beijing, following the new requirements set forth by the General Secretary for high-quality construction and development.
President Xi Jinping recently visited Xiongan New Area on May 10, 2023, to chair a symposium on promoting the construction of the area with high standards and quality. During the visit, he inspected various key sites including the Xiongan Intercity Station and the International Trade Center project.
Notable developments in the area include the construction of the Beijing-Xiongan Intercity Railway, with Xiongan Station resembling a “Green Lotus Drop of Dew.” Other projects such as the China Satellite Network Group headquarters and the Pilot Free Trade Zone Exchange and Exhibition Center are also progressing steadily.
Furthermore, initiatives in education and healthcare are underway, with the opening of Xiongan Xuanwu Hospital and three new schools in collaboration with Beijing.
Xiongan New Area is envisioned to play a crucial role in the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, shaping a promising future for the region.
