According to the website of the Central Meteorological Observatory, affected by the cold air, most of the southern regions will have a temperature of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius from 08:00 on the 14th to 08:00 on the 17th. In the next three days, the range and intensity of heavy rainfall in South China will gradually decrease, but there will still be heavy to heavy rains along the coast from the 14th to the 15th.

From 08:00 yesterday to 06:00 today, heavy rains occurred in parts of southern Guangdong, southeastern Guangxi, eastern Fujian, northeastern Hainan Island, northern and western Sichuan Basin, western and southern Yunnan, and southern Shaanxi. Local heavy rains (100-202 mm) in Shanwei, Heyuan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Chengdu and Meishan in Sichuan, and the maximum hourly rainfall in the above-mentioned areas is 30-77 mm.

  Cooler in most parts of the South

Affected by the cold air, from 08:00 on the 14th to 08:00 on the 17th, most of the southern regions will have a temperature drop of 4-6°C. Among them, the temperature in parts of central Fujian, southern Sichuan, and southwestern Chongqing can reach more than 8°C. Some of the above-mentioned areas are accompanied by winds of magnitude 4 to 5 and gusts of about magnitude 6 (see Figure 1). The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue strong wind cooling forecasts at 06:00 on May 14.

In the next three days, the range and intensity of heavy rainfall in South China will gradually decrease, but there will still be heavy to heavy rains along the coast from the 14th to the 15th. It is expected that from 08:00 on May 14 to 08:00 on May 15, parts of the southern Sichuan Basin, southern Chongqing, northern Guizhou, northeastern Yunnan, southeastern Tibet, southeastern and eastern Guangdong, northeastern Hainan Island, Taiwan Island and other places There are heavy to heavy rains. Among them, there are heavy rains (100-120 mm) in the northwestern part of Taiwan Island. Some of the above areas are accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation (the maximum hourly rainfall is 20-40 mm, and the local area can exceed 40 mm), and there are local strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds (see Figure 2). The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a blue rainstorm warning at 06:00 on May 14.

  Specific forecast for the next three days

From 08:00 on May 14th to 08:00 on the 15th, there were large incidents in parts of the southern Sichuan Basin, southern Chongqing, northern Guizhou, northeastern Yunnan, southeastern Tibet, the southeastern and eastern coasts of Guangxi, northeastern Hainan Island, and Taiwan Island. To heavy rain, among them, there are heavy rainstorms (100-120 mm) in the northwest of Taiwan Island. There are 4-6 winds in parts of central Inner Mongolia, central and southern Liaoning, northern Hebei, and central and eastern Zhejiang (see Figure 3).

From 08:00 on May 15th to 08:00 on the 16th, there were moderate to heavy rains and local heavy rains in parts of central and southern Jiangnan, eastern Guangxi, most of Guangdong, Hainan Island, Taiwan Island, central and western Yunnan, and Xinjiang Ili Valley. There are 4-6 winds in parts of central and eastern Inner Mongolia, eastern Heilongjiang, central Jilin, northern Hebei, Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula and other places (see Figure 4).

From 08:00 on May 16 to 08:00 on May 17, northeastern Inner Mongolia, eastern Northeast China, Xinjiang Ili Valley, most of Tibet, southwestern Qinghai, southwestern Sichuan, Yunnan, central and southern Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan Island, Taiwan Island, etc. There were light to moderate rains and local heavy rains in some areas (see Figure 5).
