Municipal Basketball School celebrates 32 years of life
During this morning, in the Ñeembucú Avanza program on Radio Carlos Antonio López, Professor Elvio Zalazar, instructor of the Municipal Basketball School, commented that he has been working with children for 32 years, he said that in the time of Víctor Encina Silva as Mayor of Pilar, the school had been founded at the initiative of former municipal councilor Sergio Velazco. Elvio commented that since then he has not stopped working with children of different ages.
Zalazar stated that the School operated for 25 years in the Colorada Section of Pilar and later, due to the management carried out in the first stage when Pedro Alliana was Governor, he built the base for the future stadium and at that time the mayor of Pilar Luis Benítez concluded the work with a modern stadium where the School currently operates.
Regarding the fruit of the work carried out from this school, Elvio Zalazar said that with great satisfaction many of the athletes had successful careers in these disciplines and that others were helped in their training and that today they are great professionals and good citizens, children and even grandchildren of “My former students are already practicing at the School today,” Zalazar stressed.
When highlighting the discipline with which the children are taught and instructed, Prof. Elvio Zalazar highlighted that it is always about instilling many values in the children for their daily lives, this has characterized the school throughout this time and served so that we could receive help from everyone, Zalazar stressed.

Finally, at the time of issuing an invitation to a commemorative event to be held today at the Municipal Stadium, he recalled the bad moment he had to live through 4 years ago during the pandemic, emotionally, he remembered that moment where the citizens gave him their full support, he said that no He spent only one guaraní since he received everything from the people, he felt grateful and rewarded by the people who recognize his work as a basketball instructor.
