The Disaster Risk Management Directorate began a training cycle in the 19 municipalities of the department, sharing experiences and articulating actions, to reduce the effects derived from fires, droughts, floods, landslides, gales, avalanches and other situations that may arise during these four years.
Under the motto “Knowledge as a principle of prevention”, Guillermo Velandia Granados, head of this office, will carry out a tour of the entire department, sharing with the Municipal Disaster Risk Management Councils, principles of law 1523 of 2012 , event attention protocols, management of humanitarian aid, machinery and articulation for the construction of protection works.
The work began in San Luis de Palenque and Trinidad, with the assistance of their mayors Ediber Vásquez Rincón and Damaris Abril Fuentes, who recognized the commitment of the Departmental Administration, in leading this process that involves enlistment to protect public and private assets, and save human lives.
