Resignation letter of the councilor for public works Giovanni Barosini. Announced with a lot of media bass drum, they will start from Tuesday 22 February. Barosini motivates them with “internal torment and turmoil” relating to at least three events (biogas in Valmadonna, Alegas sale and Pam logistics) which, however, did not seem to have provoked in him so far the desire to set up barricades.
Beyond the content, the question is political and the question has been circulating for months now: how will the now former councilor position himself in view of the next municipal elections? He has joined the Action of Calenda and makes no secret of even wanting to become mayor or at least propose himself to the ballot. At the 2017 election round, his SiAmoAlessandria group obtained 5.12%, one of the four lists lined up in support of Cuttica.
Now his goal “would be at least 17/18%” probably counting on the fragility and progressive crumbling of the two blocks. Whatever happens, the goal is to become the tip of the balance, therefore the kingmaker, in the election of the next mayor.
For now, Mayor Cuttica will have to reassign his powers to someone else. Coincidence: just yesterday the Four-Year Plan of Public Works was released, almost a testament.
